她是一位誕生於美國伊利諾州的歌手

 身上流著烏干達與盧安達的血

三歲時隨爸爸搬到尚比亞

因此歌聲裡可以聽到非洲和美國的元素

融合爵士與世界音樂

 她稱自己的音樂為New African Jazz

一開始Somi並沒有成為爵士歌手的想法

只覺得爵士帶給她很多的自由和釋放
