【Average Joe】不平凡的平凡人（沒梗王

K Dot.是Kendrick Lamar在2009年前闖蕩江湖的藝名，具有與家鄉Compton臍帶一般的特殊連結，本名Kendrick Lamar則代表已然成熟的自己走向世界。這首收錄於第一張正規專輯《Overly Dedicated》(2011)的Average Joe講述著自己的成長故事，如何在艱困的環境中保持初衷，脫離暴力循環。是早期我很喜歡的一首歌，在翻譯途中很怕漏掉細節或背後含意，但還是相當主觀的詮釋><，若有錯誤還請指正~

＊一說為，小學時親近的表兄弟到高中成了遠親，暗示青少年在環境中逐漸失去純真，因幫派等原因疏遠。一說為，康普頓主要有兩大幫派——Crip瘸幫和BLOOD血幫手下的分支Piru，青少年大多加入其中一派，而Crip稱呼兄弟「cousin」；Piru稱呼兄弟「relative」。可能有小學就讀瘸幫範圍，長大讀高中則為血幫勢力。

曾在某一本腦科學的書中讀到，人的個性、性向和道德在出生的那一刻就已經決定了，較具攻擊性的人是因為腦內含有較高的睪固酮；較抑鬱可能是因為過多的腎上腺素抑制了多巴胺的分泌。總之，作者認為一直以來強調的成長環境，可能反而並沒有這麼大的影響。但聽著饒舌高手的唱詞，你真的很難磨滅環境和同儕對人格塑造的影響，只願出現更多像Kendrick Lamar般對社群帶來正向改變的人，告訴孩子人生還又更多可能。
