15、16歲的Declan McKenna受到Leelah Alcorn新聞的震撼，而寫下了這首歌，替LGBT，特別是跨性別團體發聲，建議先看過Leelah事件會對歌詞更有感覺。而在MV方面，Declan不想再聚焦於LGBT+團體的苦難與悲劇，他與導演Matt Lambert討論，決定找來兩位東倫敦跨性別少年，跟拍他們的一天，除了歧視與眼淚外，也可以看到他們與常人相同的快樂、悲傷和煩惱。

年少成名的Declan有一顆老成的心和尚未麻木的眼睛，14歲寫了一首關於FIFA弊案的歌〈Brazil〉，16歲贏得Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition正式出道，從小就明白自己想走的路，將自己所見的怪象全寫進歌裡，今年入選BBC Sound of 2017算是對他未來生涯的一種肯定。（之後有機會再來寫他的介紹）現在來聽歌吧！

附註：

我在翻這首歌的時候人稱有點混亂，不知道是歌詞刻意營造客觀敘述＋自述的交互，還是我理解錯誤@@，總之盡量呈現我想法中貼近原意的翻譯，如果有誤的話很抱歉！

01.  come on to somebody是一句常用片語，指「勾引、調戲」，常用於職場或校園性騷擾。

02.  Paracetamol是一種常見止痛藥，中譯乙醯胺酚，這裡做為「性傾向治療」的隱喻。「性傾向治療」為一種通過勸導、祈禱或藥物治療等方式，改變同性戀者性傾向的療法，幫助LGBT變「快樂」。遭到多個心理及精神協會反對。其信念為性傾向受到外界影響，是可改變的，「只是願不願意的問題」。

Declan McKenna被問到自己的性傾向時曾表明

他不輕易界定自己是男是女 喜歡男還是女

因為這沒什麼意義

在他的歌裡性別是具流動性的光譜

每個人心裡多少包含幾％的異同雙泛

只有愛與尊重 才能杜絕下一場悲劇的發生
